The garden gate

James is always up to something. Earlier this month, I surprised him with a birthday getaway to Helotes. Before we checked into our cottage, we drove through the little historic downtown. Years and years ago as a college freshman, I went to a western dance at John T. Floore's Country Store. That was the last time I was in Helotes! Anyway, we stopped to check out Old Town Depot Antiques. (We behaved and wore our masks.) While we were browsing, an old metal garden gate caught James' eye. I could tell he was smitten. So we purchased it in honor of his birthday. Right away, he had a vision of where he wanted to put it in our Wildscape. Check out how his project turned out!

Oh, good job! That's my fave old gate style because my grandmother had one like it going into her vegetable garden. Perfect place for yours!
