Mexican bush sage doesn't mind heat

While we wait for the rains to return, our three Mexican bush sages (Salvia leucantha) are blooming happily and profusely. I even found some tiny crab spiders lurking on the blooms.....

Our "Elton John" says hi to his cousins across the big pond.

I have been following your blog for awhile now, since we had our "Wimmen's day out" in the Hill Country. My sisters, aunt, SIL, and cousin all go for a weekend once a year and this was our first trip to the Hill Country. I was thrilled to see the wildflowers, even tho we are in a drought. I am the gardener in our family, the rest of them are all 'shoppers'.

I am passing on a meme given to me by the Seed Scatterer. She says for you to post on your blog, 7 things about yourself that we don't know. Then pass it along to 7 other blogs, that we would enjoy visiting. And don't forget to link it back to me.

I look forward to reading your entries.
