Stock pond update

The dwarf Indiana is blooming for the first time! A second bloom will open in a day or so.

Oh, my, I can't begin to tell you how much I love love love my new stock tank pond! Several times every day, I go outside and check my minnow kids. Then I go fishing for wigglers in a small rain barrel and dump them in the pond. All the minnows come running over whenever they see me, with or without my white fishing cup. The tiny wigglers disappear in a flash.
The lemon bacopa has a tiny blue bloom. See it? And I bought a cool stained-glass dragonfly on a stick from Sutherland's.
Come by and see our stock tank pond sometime!

A second lily bloomed...photographed May 31.

Looks great and the water is clear as a bell. Are you finding it easy to keep that way? I really want some of that horsetail and the water lily, when we get round to filling.

So far, piece of cake. But it hasn't been two weeks yet!! :-)

The corkscrew rush looked cool too. If you want something other than horsetail.

I've been dreaming of a stock pond to call our very own. Your photos and descriptions may help me motivate enough help(ers) around here to finally get that project at least past the imagination stage. Thanks for sharing...

It wasn't that hard at all to put together. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! If I didn't have to work at my desk, then I'd be out there, communing with my minnow kids. :-)

Way to go Sheryl! The blooms are gorgeous! You have shown us all that its not that hard to put something together and then sit back to watch the beauty of it!!!

Thanks for the photos and update!

Very nice, the plants are pretty and the mosquito larvae part is enticing as well.
