More BIG grubs!
Last Wednesday, I attended our monthly meeting of the Highland Lakes chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists. While I was gone, James dug up mulch and filled in beds in the back yard. Look what he uncovered! About 10 or so ox beetle larva (Strategus aloeus). They are HUGE! I blogged about one in October 2010. I suggested that he relocate them to our compost pile. He did. Was that a good idea? Time with tell.
