One lone paintbrush amid the beautiful prairie verbena in the Meadow. |
The butterflies are starting to come. We spotted a monarch flitting past in the Meadow! |

More skullcap.... |
Prairie verbena surrounded by rabbit tobacco.... |
An oddity that James spotted in the back yard...a little stick driven through a leaf on the Jerusalem sage, perhaps by the recent hail storm? |

Happy to see your area escaped severe hail damage. Several gardens in and around Austin were hit pretty hard. I have skullcap babies gifted as passalong plants that I'm waiting to see bloom. After seeing your photos I can't wait!
Thanks for the identification. I have Wright's Skullcap and Rabbit's Tobacco growing and was wondering what they were called. Your wildflowers are lovely.
