Look what you can discover if only you look closer. I spotted this little guy in some leaf debris in the back yard. He (she?) was on his back. After he flipped over, I reached over to touch him, and he instantly withdrew his legs and played dead. Curious, I picked him and carried him inside the house for a closer look with a jeweler's loupe. WOW! Isn't he COOL? The experts at Bugguide.net think he's species of Ateuchus.
