Yesterday morning, I was watering our bed of turk's cap in the back yard when I spotted something BIG crawling atop the mulch. Yowzzzer! I dashed in the house for my camera and then snagged these two shots....rather fuzzy but you can still discern the body shape and big eyes. Looks to me to be some species of robber fly.
