Yesterday, I found one of two new stems on my Texas milkweed broken off. It was limp and very near death. I was SO sad and disappointed. On a lark, I trimmed off the end and set the stem in water. Within a few hours, it'd perked up! I just now posted a question on Monarch Watch's Facebook page, asking what are the chances I have of rooting this stem, perhaps using a root stimulator. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Stay tuned!
