Cool finds in the Meadow

This evening, I spotted a dung beetle mom, hard at work in the Meadow. 

Robber fly on dung beetle mom on dung ball!

Bluebonnets!

Great video of the dung beetle! I especially like the Rainbow Scarabs, with their neat "horns" and lovely iridescent colors!

All fascinating. Critters are a crucial part of the garden for me, too. Dung beetles are just amazing!
The passion vine here is working alive with caterpillars so there should be lots of butterflies next spring. And a bumper crop of baby chameleons hiding out in that same vine, which has taken over the fence, so it must be happy! Loving the fall weather in Texas after those brutal triple digit days. Finally! Happy fall, y'all. :)
