Here are our nine new additions that I purchased at the Mostly Native Plant Sale last Saturday in Boerne.
Mexican feather grass, Native Plant Society of Texas–Boerne chapter |
Purple leather flower (Clematis pitcheri), NPSOT-Boerne |
Snapdragon vine (Maurandella antirrhiniflora), NPSOT-Boerne |
Big red sage (Salvia pentstemonoides), Texas Friendly Plants, Jerry Morrisey, San Antonio |
Giant coneflower (Rudbeckia maxima), Have Spade Will Travel, Keith Amelung (two) |
Mystery plant that came with snapdragon vine. Look familiar, anyone? (Believe it's a lyreleaf sage...cool!!) |
I also bought two antelope horn seedlings (each pot had two, so I have four actually!) from Monarch Watch folks.

I've been looking all over town (San Antonio) for a "Big Red Sage" plant. I saw one last year at Antique Rose and it looked fabulous during the drought. Spectacular plant!
