Meadow mowed

(Pre-mow photos by James)
Time to mow, says James. Okay, say I. BUT FIRST, I've got to mark antelope horns and harvest what I can from horsemint and American basket-flower seed heads. A few weeks go by. Finally, a date is set. I do my deeds. Then James does his.

Presenting, pre-mow and after-mow photos!

American basket-flowers
Thank you, James, for all your hard work! Looks GREAT!

Good job braving the heat. The meadow going to look awesome again next spring!

It is a matter of fire prevention, otherwise, I wouldn't mow it. Final report...no spiders were injured and a rabbit ran out from the meadow to seek safety across the street.

So how do you KNOW that no spiders were hurt, Mr. Hearn? They lost their homes, that's for sure!!! :-)
