Yes yes yes–our first one has arrived! This morning, James hollered at me from the breakfast table.
"There's a hummingbird!"
"Really?" I yelled back from our bedroom. "Black-chinned?"
Yes, he said.
Sure enough, I got to see the new arrival later...a male black-chinned hummingbird. Welcome back!!

My female Rufuos that overwintered in our yard just took off. She has been here since November. Now I'm waiting for the Red Ruby Throated and Black Chinned hummers to arrive.
Our winter resident only showed up occasionally. It was so awesome to see a hummingbird in the WINTER. I loved it!
