Scarlet pea

My transplanted scarlet pea (Indigofera miniata) is happy. This lovely but oft-ignored native usually gets mowed.

Hey Sheryl, where did you find the plant/seeds? I'm in San Antonio and am interested in planting scarlet pea/Texas indigo.

Hi, Carmen: I dug this one up and successfully relocated it to our garden. You might look for a young one along street easements that typically get mowed. This is a low-lying plant. It's so beautiful, right?

Hey Sheryl, very beautiful. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for it. Thanks for the info.

I'd be interested to try seeds.
Any recommendations for a source that can send via USPS ?

Look on eBay? I haven’t collected any myself. Sorry! But you’ve piqued my curiosity. I’ll have to look out for some next year.
