Backyard visitor

Someone's been visiting our back yard. Probably an oppossum. I've never seen a raccoon around here.

I would say raccoon. I have never seen one either but they leave their evidence everywhere, particularly on large stones and other prominent places.

Lucky you, no raccoons! Those guys are so very destructive! Babies are cute but some of the adults get quite huge and a few, vicious. Here, they broke expensive pots and ate the tulips, bulbs and all from Southern Bulb Co. They also tore the screens to shreds on my back porch where I had cat food stored in large galvanized garbage tins. Their opposable thumbs allowed them to get the tops off the cans, even though they were on very tightly. Needless to say, I'm not a fan!
