Yet another plant sale

"You just need to stay at home," James told me in bed around 6:30 this morning. "You're sick." The thought was tempting. It really was. Especially with rain in the forecast. And oak pollen still had control of my head. But when a NATIVE PLANT SALE CALLS TO ME, I CANNOT SIT IDLE AND IGNORE ITS PLEA.

I just can't.

"I'll be fine," I replied. "I promise I won't whine."

"Much," I added.

So off we went the spring plant sale (members only today!) at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center in Austin, starting at 9 a.m. We got there by 8:20 a.m. and joined other fellow native diehards, who waited in a covered area because of the rain. Oh, yes, it rained rained rained. But we managed. Or should I say that I (me me me) managed. My devoted, sweet, loving, caring, WONDERFUL husband James pulled the wagon while I shopped shopped shopped.

Post to follow about what I bought/adopted.

P.S. At the sale, we ran into our new native plant friend Wilt Shaw of Boerne and his wife. Guess they heard The Call, too, this morning.

You and James are like native plant postal service carriers. Neither rain, nor oak pollen....
